Godley Head Trust was pleased to be given the Heritage Ambassadors Award for Heritage Week 2009 as a result of our very successful open day in 2008, which attracted large numbers of visitors. The weather did not treat us so kindly in 2009, nevertheless a large crowd attended. The firing of the gun at intervals was a real highlight for many young visitors.
Others enjoyed the musical offerings of the Band or the chance to have a ride in a military vehicle.
For the Trust it was an opportunity to show the public the great progress we have made towards creating a museum in the Quartermaster's Store building.
