Progress at Godley Head

Members of the Godley Head Trust Board have not been deterred by the earthquakes from continuing with work on projects at Godley Head.  A replica radar hut has recently been completed at the rear of the Heritage Centre to house our radar display.  At recent working bees Trust members have finished insulating the hut so that work can begin on setting up the display.

Work has also been proceeding on the Pillbox display which is located near the flagpole  to the front of the Heritage Centre.  Steps and a retaining wall have been put in place to allow entry to the Pill Box.  Work is continuing to landscape around the site, including a layer of earth planted with tussock grasses to cover the Pill Box.
